Tammy Ong
Women’s Health Physiotherapist
Rehabilitation Pilates Instructor
Hey guys, my name is Tammy, and I’m a Women’s Health Physiotherapist.
For as long as I can remember, I always wanted a career where I could help others. Throughout years of playing sport and sustaining injuries myself, I ended up finding my passion for Physiotherapy where I could combine my love for sport and my drive to help others. I enjoy working with anyone and everyone, however, am most passionate about Women’s Health, and Sport, and utilising Pilates as a form of rehabilitation.
I’ve dabbled in many sports from tennis, cricket, AFL, soccer, softball, but the main one that stuck out for me was Volleyball, which I competed in for 8 years. From my experience, there’s always a movement goal; and what I’ve noticed works best, is understanding clients and their story, involving them in the treatment and rehab planning process, and making sure that everything links back to what is important to them.
Outside of the clinic, I’m the current Head Physiotherapist of NRLW and Female Pathways at Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs. I have also been the Head Physiotherapist for a few sporting teams at state, national and international levels, and have been supported competing athletes in Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting, and CrossFit. I’ve been the Head Physiotherapist for the Sydney Blue Sox Baseball team since 2018/19, Team Australia Emeralds Baseball team, and the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, competing in the NSW Cup.
I understand that no two people are the same, so treatment and rehabilitation needs to be tailored to the individual. So my promise to you is to understand you, your goals, your current injury, and work together to create an individualised plan to help you achieve those goals
I look forward to being able to provide support to the Hills District community and I cannot wait to meet you all in clinic!
